Description
Join us Monday, April 27, for an evocative evening that commemorates the Tulsa Race Massacre. The event begins with a public reception at 5:30 p.m., followed by a powerful lecture at 6:45 p.m. by the Rev. Dr. Teresa L. Fry Brown titled, "Indelible Injury, Forced Forgiveness and Redefined Reconciliation." The evening will also feature the opening of Anthony Suber's visual art exhibition, "Speculative Liturgies: The Perpetual Bloom of Greenwood." This annual exhibition and lectureship honors the resilience of the Greenwood District and confronts one of the most devastating acts of racial violence in U.S. history. The lecture will be in-person on the Tulsa campus of Phillips and also live-streamed. Category: Attractions | Talks and Lectures
