Along the way, you'll meet 25 costumed storytellers who bring history to life, sharing the amazing stories of the men and women who helped make Charlotte into what it is today. MERICA250 will be spotlighted throughout the day with "milestones" of Charlotte's history beginning with its Declaration of Independence on May 20, 1775, Gold Rush, trains, planes, and more... New this year, we have the honor of her Majesty Queen Charlotte helping us celebrate this special anniversary. Bring your cameras for a selfie with the Queen!
